Brainpicks - the best typovideos

I love movies. I love type. And i love music. These 3 facts make me love some of the great typographical videos out there. Some of them I can watch over and over. Damn …. I really love it! Don´t know what I am talking about? Have a look for yourself:

Chemical Burn:
The first one is a typography experiment animated and designed by graphic artist Sebastian Jaramillo based on the movie Fight Club on the scene “Chemical Burn”:

Typography from Vancouver Film School
The next one was created by Vancouver Film School students Boca (aka Marcos Ceravolo) and Ryan Uhrich through the VFS Digital Design program:

The Hush Sound - Lions Roar:
OMG. I really love this one. I love the way how the words play with the lyrics:

Duck and Cover
The next video is using the audio from an old public service announcement called “Duck and Cover” from the 50s:

The Child
The next Video was created by Antoine Bardou-Jacquet for the french dj Alex Gopher. What a great idea: A world made only with typographics:

I have no idea who this band is or what they are singing about - but have a look at the video and you will know why i post it here. It´s sooooo good. (If anyone know who this band is: Tell me :-) )

Mutemath - Chaos
This one is great. The creator of this writes on YouTube : “..and this is what i feel when I listen to this..” And i think he did a really great job. When i first watched the clip i thought it was an official video. :-) I love the black and white style of it:

Citizen Cope - Let The Drummer Kick
I play drums for 17 years now … so the next song is a must for me. So let the drummer kick !

Van Halen - Right Now
The next one is a real piece of art to me. I love the song and the video is great! Lyrics, Pictures, Story - it all fits together. Don´t you think?

So this is the first part of my collection of “typovideos”. What do you think? What are your favourites? Feel free to leave a comment…
