One year of Sharebrain

A few minutes ago i did it: I posted article number 2000 on ShareBrain. So i guess it is time for some “behind the scenes” informations for you:

• ShareBrain is online for about one year.
• About 500 hours of work, more than 2000 cups of coffee and way to many cigarettes.
• The first version of ShareBrain was made with FreeGlobes but i missed a few features and switched to WordPress.
• 122 Categories - well there should be something for everyone.
• 116 Comments - thx for every single one.
• Every resource on ShareBrain is hand-selected
• The most visited Category: Photoshop Brushes.
• ShareBrain is using about 30 WordPress Plugins (yes i know i am a plugin freak). Some of them are modified to fit our special needs.

What a nice feeling! And i think it´s time to say “thank you” to a few people out there:

• My lovely girlfriend who always accept and understand when i spent my free time on this project. I love you for that (and of course for everything else).
• Rizi, my special friend - without you ShareBrain wouldn´t be half as good as it is! I really love the hours and hours we looked at some fu$%&/g code and tried to make it better.
• All the Readers who wrote me or commented on here and told me that they like this project and that it helped them in various ways.
• Every single Webdesigner, Webworker, Coder who visit this site. Yes, i mean you!
• The WordPress Community - especially the one who write all the great plugins!
• Everyone who linked ShareBrain and makes it more popular. (So if you like it you should link it too!)

New Features.
In the last few days we added some new features to ShareBrain. Both can be seen on top of our Page (btw.: I love this slider (Thx Jon!):

• 1. Now it is possible to seach in the different sections of Sharebrain.
• 2. When you want to submit a site to Sharebrain it is easier than ever
• 3. Now you can save our articles easy to different social bookmark services or mail them to a friend. Just click on the “Share It” button you find on top of a category page

What to come?
Of cource there will be more daily hand-selected resources for you! Soon it will possible to sort all the articles. Then there will be some really interesting articles from “the Brainers”. These are just 3 things we are working on - and there will be much more.
